An ancient church of its own
All Saints' Church, believed to date back to around the start of the twelfth century, holds one of the more notable collections of hatchments found in a Surrey church, and an old yew tree still stands in its churchyard. More recently, the church has been combined into a single parish with St Lawrence's in neighbouring Effingham.
Its own stretch of common land
Little Bookham Common forms the western part of the wider Bookham Commons, a quieter, rougher stretch of grassland, scrub and ponds fed by a tributary of the River Mole, separate from the larger common on the Great Bookham side.
A protected village centre
The older parts of the village, including its parish church and a well-known local pub, sit within a designated conservation area, distinct from the one covering Great Bookham next door.
